Maggie Downen Appointments : 2009 Reporter Bio : Three years ago this past October, was one of the most memorable events in my life. We were attending the All American Quarter Horse Congress. I was in between horses at the time and watching everyone riding their horses and prepare for showing, really made me miss having an equine of my own. We bought Max at the 2007 Congress Super Sale, and I have to say that he was one of the best purchases ever made. Hezalittlebitcountry, or Max, is a 15'2" mahogany brown, all-around, gelding. Classes we are partial to participate in are, showmanship, horsemanship and hunter-under saddle. Max seems to enjoy going to horse shows, for he is certainly better behaved at them. Like any team of horse and rider, we have good and bad rides. But like the famous Ronald Reagan once said, "There's nothing so good for the inside of a man as the outside of a horse." Activities that keep me busy are my art club, FFA, taking care of my farm and the many animals that inhabit it, playing the piano, drawing, painting, spending time with my friends and family, and reading. I also love joining clubs and participating in extracurricular activities. |
